This is the exciting conversation
Aram has been accosted lately with some of my thoughts regarding Christmas. I thought perhaps we all could just have a discussion to save his poor self from any more of these brutalities.
I, for one, am excited about Christmas, and have started pirculating brilliant ideas. One such bit of brilliance was to have a time for some fun "workshops" in which inspired family members bring a craft project or something for everyone to do. I thought mine could be a jam-cooking event, in which all interested parties make delicious jams from the citrus M &D bring north (orange marmalade, lemon curd, etc....) YUMMY. And all non-interested parties play with the junior members of this club. We could also do an activity that Caleb and Priska would enjoy, like finger painting or running naked in the snow. (Priska loves to run naked and pee on the floor, and then, if she's really lucky and no one is looking, she splashes in it.) We could also have an activity with pictures, the traditional card making, etc.
I have also started thinking about presents. I would prefer to have my gift assignment early so I can start plotting. Should we do our normal gift exchange? If so, who gets to play Santa? (I nominate Elli.) (WHo gets to play Scrooge? I nominate Grandpa.)
Well, I think I have head lice, so I am going to go soak my head in vinegar water. On that happy note, hit the "comments" button and give us your feedback.
Love to all,
Debbi

It seems that of late my only activity of skill is playing the flute, so maybe my "event" can be the running outside in the snow, though I'm not convinced of the naked part. John has become quite the master of making milkshakes, and I'm sure he'd be happy to share his expertise if the ice cream (and optional oreos) are available.
I probably also have lice. I don't know for sure, but I just fingure that I do because, well, I always do. Sorry sister, but I recently read that vinegar doesn't do any good. I was very disappointed to hear that, as I love the smell of vinegar. (YACH!!) But if it makes you feel better, go ahead, soak away. Maybe you and I could offer a clinic on lice.
I am certainly looking forward to seeing all of you!

Well, well, well.
Dad is suggesting that he be responsibile for a "guy time" i.e. a breakfast or some meal away from the house.
It seems that there should be a corresponding girl event...
I am suggesting that we have an old fashioned slide show for a certain era (so that it doesn't go endlessly on). Then, next year we could pick up where we left off and continue for another era, etc. Dad is willing to do this.
With the wood-craftsy guys we have in our family, maybe they could prepare some kind of wood craft for those of us who would like to do that...
Actually ,maybe we don't need to pull out all the stops for this year. Maybe a couple of us could be responsible for it this year and another couple people another year...
Let's work on this! Good thinking, Debbi!
